Sm7b Noise Floor

With its detailed audio profile words may travel far but they always arrive at their destination with quality and clarity intact.
Sm7b noise floor. Compared to a condenser mic the noise this mic produce is huge. Some dynamic mics like the shure sm7b contain an internal hum bucking coil that reduces hum pick up. Sm7b noise floor question. I find it a great sounding mic for vocals but i was wondering if you guys find it a little too noisy.
Hey i purchased a sm7b mic few months ago. Given the application getting that. The is not much proximity effect with this mic the metal grille extends far beyond the capsule element so your mouth cannot get really too close to the capsule. I m setting up a studio for voiceover podcast recording and just got my hands on a pair of shure sm7bs.
In the meeting room the ambient rf noise floor may be. Hats off to the shure engineers for this bit of idiot. I was under the impression i d have a clean gain and output yet there is still a noticeable noise floor that i m forced to get rid of through post audio processing. Is the pretty high noise a common issue on that mic.
You start hitting the top 20 the hissy section of your preamp gain at 40 db. I m using the shure sm7b with the frostrite scarlett solo 2nd gen and cloudlofter into logic pro x for voice over recording. Lemme know your thoughts. Other dynamic mics like the shure beta 58a have more effective shielding around the voice coil that also reduces hum.
Could it be my one has something wrong. I bought it new. I m running them through a cloudlifter cl 2 and into a sound devices mixpre 3 interface yet i m still getting what sounds to me like a very high level of hiss or self noise. The wide range frequency response of the sm7b preserves the natural beauty of the sound it captures.
This gives you up to 19 db with clean gain. Even if no voice call is in progress.
